Life in the Collegiate Church Today |
||||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Collegiate Church is both old and new. We are the oldest Protestant church in America with a continuous ministry, and the oldest corporation in the United States. But throughout our 370 years of service and ministry, we have remained a religious body vital to the life of New York City, keeping pace with changing times and with the needs of a growing multiracial, multiethnic urban population. Our mission is firmly rooted in strong Christian values: to gather
together in worship and help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
to care for our members and others in times of need, and to reach
out beyond our membership to others and help fulfill the talents
of all God's people. This powerful mission is realized every day
in our four congregations, each one a messenger of God's eternal
love for all humankind.
